They work on the basic principle of having a base resin and a hardener, or catalyst that mix (hence the term, chemical anchor). This happens when the all-thread studding/ bar/ rod is twisted into the pre-drilled hole. The capsule breaks and the aggregate and hardener mix to create a substance harder that the material you are fixing to. You can see the hardener inside the capsule; you must return any capsules that do not flow. It means that the hardener and resin has already mixed.
